For Indian professionals watching this landscape, the relevant question is not whether this is happening in London or Washington. The relevant question is: when these companies arrive at the table to discuss data centre partnerships, AI governance frameworks, or sovereign model deployments, what does the other side of that table look like? Who is advising the governments doing the negotiating? Do those advisers have comparable fluency in both the technical realities and the geopolitical stakes?
Building that capacity — in public institutions, in independent research bodies, in the policy advisory ecosystem — is not a soft concern. It is a strategic one. The companies featured in that article understood this early. The question is whether the governments they are engaging with understand it at the same speed.
The New Competitive Frontier
